Question: Why do you think now’s a good time to buy property in Gulfport and Biloxi? Taylor: Now’s a good time to buy property anywhere. Land has proven to be a much-more stable investment than stocks over the years. Historically, land has doubled its value at least every 10 years, and in many places, the value of land has escalated at a much-faster pace.

Question: What kind of properties will you be selling in Biloxi? Taylor: We’ll sell any type of property anyone wants to sell. Currently, we’re working with banks to sell some of their properties. But we also sell rural recreational lands, condos, duplexes and single-family dwellings.

Question: Most people don’t think of Biloxi as a rural area. Biloxi and Gulfport are both beach ports. Where will you be finding rural lands to sell? Taylor: I see our agency growing into the buyer’s agent market. We’ll be bringing buyers to the Mossy Oak Properties’ network to purchase more rural lands away from the Gulf Coast. Today there are a number of potential buyers along the Gulf Coast. Right after Hurricane Katrina, a huge market was created when coastal investors wanted to take their money and buy property inland. So, these investors had to find an agent near the land they wanted to buy. Those same investors are now returning to the Gulf Coast, making their money here and looking for forest-recreation lands to purchase further north. Our agency will identify these investors and be able to show them the forest-recreation land all over the country that Mossy Oak Properties’ agents already have identified and listed.
