Julie grew up in the country; the farmer's daughter. She
spent her childhood summers in the corn and milo fields and her winters in the
deer blind. As a teenager she already knew the meaning of hard work. She hoed
many rows of peanuts and moved countless irrigation pipes. She raked and hauled
hay. After graduation from Floresville
High School she attended Texas A&M University, an education that was paid
for with the proceeds from selling calves from a heifer her grandfather gave
her as a child and scholarships earned through hard work and achievement. She
graduated summa cum laude, the fightin' Texas Aggie class of '99. While in
college, she married her high school sweetheart Jeff. Their first home was on a
ranch in Calvert, TX, an hour north of College Station where Jeff worked as a
foreman and Julie finished her degree. In 1999, they bought what became Lazy J
Bar B Q. After 17 years of success, a tornado demolished the restaurant. Real
estate became our full time career.
Born and raised in Floresville, the community is very
important to Julie. She is involved in many different organizations including 4-H, Wilson County Shooting Club and Flo Town Kicks Soccer League. She regularly donates to the
Wilson County Libraries, South Texas Blood and Tissue Center, Floresville Volunteer
Fire Department and Sacred Heart School.
Julie, Jeff and their four children have been lifelong
members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where Julie teaches Sunday School and
is involved in the ACTS ministry. They stay busy taking care of their many
animals including cattle, dogs, chickens, ducks and rabbits. She is ready and willing
to help you turn the dream of country living into a reality.
