of Game and Fish Class A Game Parks. Complete with hunting stands,

feeders, and a breeding pen for a fully functional big game park ready

for your breeding program. In addition to the Game Park, in 2022 the

ranch received 3 Mature Bull, 3 Anterless, and 1 Archery Private

Landowner Elk authorizations for use on the remaining 1,600 acres not

included in the game park. 2022 Mule Deer tags included 4 archery, 4

any, and 2 muzzleloaders. All of the ranch lies with in Game Management

Unit (GMU) 5A.

Hunting Lodge:

Located just off of Hwy 595, the 100 by 50 hunting lodge with over 5000

finished sq. feet has four full bedroom suites, a commercial style

kitchen, concrete polished floors, and a recreation room. A walk in meat

cooler and sliding hoists completes the lodge. A small airplane hangar

and air strip ends just in front of the lodge.

Head

Quarters: The main ranch home was constructed in the late 50s and is

very well built with a central fireplace 3 bedrooms and one bath

upstairs, 2 bedrooms and a bath downstairs, as well as a beautiful

walkout sunroom on the south. The kitchen was recently remodeled.

Water:

There are six functioning water wells all registered with State of New

Mexico. Additionally, there are four storage tanks ranging from 2,500 to

16,000 gallons and numerous earthen ponds ranging from seasonal to

year-long located throughout the property.

Forage:

Primary grasses are comprised of both warm and cool seasons and

include blue gramma, western wheat, Indian ricegrass, galleta, needle

and thread, and various dropseeds. Forbs include Indian paintbrush,

buckwheat, plantain, globemallow, and prairie coneflower. Big Sage,

winterfat, fourwing saltbush, and rabbitbrush are also present along

with Pinon, juniper, oak, and pines. The soils are deep and well drained

except on the rock outcroppings and mesa formations. Annual production

ranges from 600 to over 1000 pounds per acre.

Wildlife:

Wildlife is abundant and in addition to the herds of elk and mule deer

that call it home there are bears, mountain lions, coyotes, foxes,

racoons, porcupines and multiple other small mammals and reptiles. In

addition you are likely to see hawks, eagles, and ravens along the rim

rocks.
