Mossy Oak Properties Expands Into Oregon
Teams up with experienced land broker
By Mossy Oak Properties

Kimberly, OR – Mossy Oak Properties, Inc. is pleased to announce the opening of its first Oregon land brokerage.

Mossy Oak Properties-Cupper Creek Land Company is located in Eastern Oregon’s Grant County, home to some of the west’s finest rural properties.  The brokerage is owned and operated by Julie Mansfield-Smith, a twenty-plus year veteran of the Oregon land sales market.  According to Mansfield-Smith, the decision to partner with Mossy Oak Properties was a logical one.  “The Mossy Oak Properties franchise is a mirror reflection of what we do and who we are.  We live the lifestyle and work off the land. We are avid hunters and outdoors people and adding the Mossy Oak Properties brand to our everyday lives just fits like a glove. We realized everything we have done also started with a fistful of dirt ….  and we put our name on it. Most of our inventory sells itself, and most clients feel just as passionate about the land God created and this brand just enhances it. The Mossy Oak sense of family, and their dedication to the industry, is important to us as part of our personal mission statement as well as the long term commitment to ride for the brand. That is what we have done and will continue to do.”

Mansfield-Smith, a perennial multi-million dollar producer, indicated the land market her area was vibrant.  “Overall the land market in Oregon has recovered with the improving economy.  The demand has always been high for recreational properties, and now higher than ever for good working ranches, due to the strong cattle market. Many sellers are upgrading to larger working ranches and buyers are able to justify the upscale pricing on hobby farms. Timber properties of any size are always attractive for the capital appreciation and ambiance of hunting. More investors are seeking off grid holdings for a permanent lifestyle instead of a weekend retreat. These highly desirable properties are in demand primarily due to the privacy and solitude found in these premiere hunting retreats and vacation getaways.”

Mansfield-Smith, who co-owns the franchise with her husband, Brad, said she is excited about what the future brings for her brokerage.  “Brad has co-owned our real estate brokerage with me since 2002 and plans to get his broker license this fall to help me expand the man and brand power. We plan to have other experienced land brokers come on board within the next year to increase revenue in our ‘brand-chise.’ We feel extremely blessed and are very excited about our long term relationships we will be developing with past, present and future clients and most importantly, this company!”

Chris Hawley, Co-Founder and CEO/President of Mossy Oak Properties voiced his excitement by saying: “Julie Mansfield-Smith is the type of land specialist we look for.  She has the experience, expertise, and effort needed to be successful land specialists, and has proven to be one of the top land brokers in Oregon.  We look forward to welcoming her and Brad to the Mossy Oak Properties family.”
