Billy McOwen

William “Billy” McOwen is the Founder of Mossy Oak Properties - Land and Farms Realty based in Manteo, North Carolina.  The Land and Farms Realty Group currently owns and operates a number of Mossy Oak Properties franchises in Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.   With a total of 40 agents servicing clients in the tri-state region the Land and Farms Realty Group is one of the largest dedicated land brokerage companies in the Southeast.

Billy has been the recipient of the Mossy Oak Properties “Pinnacle Club” award 14 times in the last 15 years.  The “Pinnacle Club” recognizes the top 10 agents in the Mossy Oak Properties Network of over 650 agents, in 100 offices, in 30 states.  Billy was also nominated as the 2025 “Agent of the Year” for the entire Mossy Oak Properties network and successfully lead his team to win the coveted Mossy Oak Properties “2025 Office of the Year” award prior to his retirement as President and CEO of the firm.  When not in the field helping clients, Billy enjoys hunting and fishing here in North Carolina and spending time in the mountains of Wyoming where he and his wife Monica have a second home.

Billy has a passion for learning new and innovative approaches to marketing and continues to serve the Land and Farms Realty Group by utilizing the latest technologies to promote his clients properties and ensure they receive the maximum exposure possible. Billy will continue to serve the Land and Farms Realty Group as a seasoned agent, working with long time clients and servicing the Eastern North Carolina land market as he has since 2005.
