Brandon Trott

Brandon was born and raised in Onslow and Jones County, North Carolina. Both sides of his family were local farmers. He grew up working with his grandparents in their fields picking corn, beans and digging potatoes. He started working on a tobacco farm at fourteen. He found a love for hunting, watching wildlife, working in nature and the scenic views offered by our beautiful state.

At age twenty-one he moved to Louisiana to attend a small Bible College as preparation for the call he felt to the ministry. While there he married his sweetheart, Tessa and brought her with him to Louisiana. After completing his degree in Theology, he moved to Breaux Bridge, LA, to be the pastor of New Beginning Fellowship Church. There he was responsible for many leadership roles, such as creating educational courses, organizing community outreaches, operating a food pantry, helping to cultivate a nationwide network of ministry leaders, leading a private Christian Academy, negotiating property contracts and purchasing and renovating new facilities. 

After more than a decade of serving that community and growing close to many families there, Brandon and Tessa longed to return home to North Carolina and to their families. They wanted their growing children to have more time with their grandparents and live in the same communities they loved and missed so much. 

Brandon is renovating his childhood home on their multigenerational family farm to start a homestead so that his wife and children can have the same joyous attachment to the land that he had growing up. They are now involved in their home church and enjoy serving the communities they grew up in.
