Jared Groce
Jared Groce comes from a long line of Texans, with roots in the state dating back to 1819. The original Jared Groce arrived in Texas that year and became known as the “Father of Texas Agriculture,” establishing a legacy of land stewardship that continues today. Raised in Cooke County, Jared has spent his life building deep connections throughout North Texas and understands the land—and the people who own it—better than most.
Before entering real estate full time, Jared spent 20 years in the retail furniture business serving Cooke, Denton, and Wise counties, followed by 10 years as a Firefighter and EMT in North Texas. These experiences shaped his strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and commitment to service—qualities his real estate clients value every day.
An avid outdoorsman, Jared’s passion for hunting and fishing has taken him around the world, but his favorite place to be is right here in Texas. He has long been involved in conservation efforts, and served as a Texas Parks and Wildlife Hunter Education Instructor for 23 years and remains deeply committed to responsible land use and wildlife conservation. He also hosts the Cooke County Special Education Kid Fishing event at his ranch.
Jared is also highly engaged in his community as a past President of the Decatur Chamber of Commerce and has served on the Era ISD School Board. His leadership roles include Chairman of Red River Valley Ducks Unlimited, board president of CASA of North Texas, and Past Master of Era Masonic Lodge 796.
With 18 years of full-time experience specializing in rural real estate, Jared’s clients consistently speak highly of his knowledge, integrity, and results—and are always willing to serve as references. As an outdoorsman, businessman, and rancher, he understands not only the complexities of real estate transactions, but also the practical realities of land ownership and stewardship.
Jared is an eight-time recipient of the Mossy Oak Properties Pinnacle Club Award, a 2023 nominee for Agent of the Year, and a 2023 recipient of the Mossy Oak Properties Big Fish Award. He holds active real estate broker licenses in both Texas and Oklahoma.
