Jon was born and raised in Milledgeville, Georgia. A Gulf War veteran, he went on to graduate from Georgia College with a Batchelor's Degree in Health and Physical Education. Later, he earned an Master's and an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership from Georgia Southern University.
