Merlin Hershberger

Merlin Hershberger is a licensed Auctioneer and Realtor with Mossy Oak Properties / Bauer Real Estate & Auctions, proudly serving clients across Ohio and the surrounding region with a passion for real estate, land, and the auction industry. Raised in rural Stark County, Ohio, Merlin grew up around auctions and business, learning the trade firsthand alongside his uncle, Steve Chupp, and has been involved in auctions since he was old enough to work.

Merlin attended Ohio Auction School in 2020, completed his apprentice year with Steve, and earned his auctioneer license in 2021. In 2022, he transitioned into auctioneering full-time, building experience across a wide range of auction formats and industries. Merlin is a licensed auctioneer in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Indiana, allowing him to serve clients across state lines with professionalism and confidence.

Merlin has been heavily involved in major events including annual furniture auctions, taxidermy auctions, and land auctions, helping connect quality assets with serious buyers through trusted service and strong marketing. To better serve buyers and sellers beyond the auction block, Merlin earned his Ohio Real Estate License in 2024, along with his FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot License, providing high-level marketing through aerial photography and video.

Today, Merlin is excited to be part of the Mossy Oak Properties team, focused on helping clients buy and sell recreational property, real estate, and auction assets with integrity, energy, and modern marketing.
