Ty Cannaday is a land specialist with The Timbers Group whose deep connection to the outdoors and the people of Appalachia has shaped both his life and his approach to real estate.

Raised in Southwest Virginia on an 80-acre wooded family property, Ty developed an early appreciation for conservation, adventure, and the generational value that land can hold for a family. Today, that same passion drives his work helping clients buy and sell hunting land, farms, recreational tracts, legacy family properties, and large estate holdings throughout the region.

An avid outdoorsman and dedicated deer hunter who travels across the country pursuing his passion for the outdoors, Ty brings a unique understanding of what makes a property truly special — not just on paper, but in the way it feels and the memories it can create for generations to come. Known for his ability to connect with people from all walks of life, Ty approaches every relationship with honesty, integrity, and a servant-minded mentality that places people above transactions.

With a degree in Communication and a natural gift for relationship building, he has earned a reputation for thoughtful communication, creative marketing, and a deep understanding of how to position land in a way that highlights its true value and character. Ty and his wife moved to the Abingdon area to build their life and raise their growing family, including their daughter and son, while staying rooted in the values that matter most to them — faith, family, hard work, and community. He believes land is more than an investment; it is often the setting where traditions are passed down, memories are made, and legacies are built.
