Frog Bayou WRP 93
Description
This extremely diverse WRP tract located along the Arkansas River is awaiting a new owner. Situated between Frog Bayou WMA and the Arkansas River, this property could not be better positioned for traveling wildlife. The landscape consists of a variety of young bottomland hardwood species and aquatic vegetation that provide excellent habitat for deer and waterfowl.
This property offers far more for wildlife than one might expect. Loaded with transition areas and small meadows, the habitat is ideal. The current owner obtained NRCS approval for three small food plots within thick bedding areas, along with perimeter trails that provide access to stand locations for varying wind directions. There is also a 1.5-acre food plot featuring a Redneck 6x6 Buck Palace elevated on a 10-foot stand.
Fully enrolled in WRP, this property allows for duck hunting in the willow break (during wet years) while managing the remainder for quality deer management. With Frog Bayou to the west and the Arkansas River to the south, there is no better refuge for deer seeking relief from hunting pressure. Surrounded by hundreds, if not thousands, of acres of soybeans, it's easy to see why the deer in this area grow so large.
