Description
Pisgah Gorge Retreat on Sand Mountain - 42 Acres | Restored Log Cabin | Waterfall & Gorge | Prime Homesite Potential
Escape to your very own state park-esque sanctuary, just far enough from it all on Sand Mountain. The property's centerpiece is a fully restored log cabin, ready for immediate enjoyment. Original hand-hewn timber brought in from Tennessee define the rustic log cabin, while modern flooring, fixtures, wiring, plumbing, and insulation mean none of the comforts are sacrificed. A wood burning stove, deep-set windows, and a covered porch make it an easy place to unplug for a weekend - enjoy a cup of coffee, cook a simple meal, build a fire, and then wake up and do it all again the next day.
Below the cabin, the land drops into the state park-esque Pisgah Gorge on Bryant Creek, where a series of cascading waterfalls feeds into clear, deep swimming holes - ideal for summer afternoons. Moss-covered boulders and mature hardwoods line the banks, with informal trails tracing the creek from ridge to hollow. Trophy Whitetail deer frequent the property, and a very healthy population of Wild Eastern Turkey make this a prime hunting tract or a peaceful spot to enjoy the wildlife.
A property like this with large acreage on the Pisgah Gorge, an existing cabin, and waterfalls rarely comes to market. The 42-acre wooded terrain features elevated building sites with potential views down into the gorge and across the tree canopy. This property already has the makings of perfect weekend getaway retreat now, and has the runway to build the luxury home you've always envisioned later.
Located just under an hour away from downtown Chattanooga and 1 hour from downtown Huntsville.
