Lake Anna - Stretching for approximately 17 miles, Lake Anna features nearly 200 miles of shoreline and is surrounded by more than 100 residential communities. The lake is divided into two main sections: the public or “cold” side, which covers about 9,000 acres, and the privately owned “warm” side, encompassing approximately 4,000 acres. These sections are linked by three canals and separated by three stone dikes.  The lake has become a major destination for fishing, water sports, and many other activities.

Guests can also participate in nature activities and gold-panning programs or join guided tours of the historic Goodwin Gold Mine.

Oakley Forest WMA - Covering roughly 4,459 acres, Oakley Forest Wildlife Management Area lies in western Spotsylvania County, just west of Todd’s Tavern. The property was once part of a larger agricultural operation where forest and wildlife resources were managed for many years. Today, the area features a diverse mix of habitats, including upland hardwood and pine forests interspersed with several smaller sections of open fields, pastures, and former agricultural land that has transitioned into old-field habitat.  About a 25 minute drive from the property!
