This beautiful farm is located outside of Trenton and has it all! Wildlife, farmland, timberland, road frontage, and river frontage! There is 1.7 miles of Trent River frontage on the property. The timber is a mix of hardwoods and pines. The mature hardwoods are located primarily along the river while the pines are on the higher ground on the interior of the property. These stands of timber vary in age. The youngest stand of timber is roughly 13 years old.
Numerous turkeys were spotted on the property while taking photographs, tracks spotted within the fields and along the river include wild turkey, black bear, Whitetail deer, and bobcat. There is also a trail system that cuts through the timber towards the rear of the property. The vegetation in these paths needs to be removed but the foundation is laid for an excellent road system that will allow you access nearly all of the wooded land. It can easily be travelled by ATV / UTV and if cleaned up a truck could easily travel down them. There is also a farm path that goes through the farm and is gated.
The property is partially encompassed in the FEMA floodplain (see aerial photos). The majority of this area is timberland. Hardly any of the farmland is encompassed within the FEMA areas. There's 2,500 feet of road frontage on Curtis Road, 6,000 feet of road frontage on Wooten Road, and 2,850 feet of road frontage on Highway 58.
The soil map is located within the photo gallery. There's a diverse range of soil featured on the property. The farmland features soil types such as leaf silt loam (La), Craven sandy loam (CrB), Lenoir loam (Le), Autryville loam (AuB), Stallings loamy sand (St), and Kenansville loamy sand (Kea). There is 200 acres of farmland on the property. The fashion in which the land is laid out makes it very secluded and private, yet easily accessible.
